For iPhone

Add milk.
It lands in Dairy.

ListFox is the list you take into the store. Type an item, scan the box, or tell Siri. It files the item into the aisle, in the order you walk that store. Share it, and the other person sees the same list.

Filed into the aisle. Milk, Rao’s, paper towels: each one goes where you walk to get it.

That store’s order. HEB and the other grocery store do not have to share an aisle order.

Scan the box. A barcode you have used before goes straight onto the list.

Shared, and live. Someone else can add and cross off, and you both see it.

How it works

From a name to the right aisle.

You should not have to sort the list while you are standing in the store. ListFox does that when the item goes on.

01

Type it, or just say it.

The quick-entry field suggests things you have bought on this list before. Or ask Siri: “Add apples to my HEB list in ListFox.” The request has to include ListFox, because that is how iOS knows which app you mean.

02

It picks the aisle.

ListFox already knows thousands of products, including brands. If you have put this item in an aisle on this list before, that choice wins. If you move it, it stays moved.

When the name is unfamiliar, Apple Intelligence on the iPhone can offer a second opinion. That runs on the device. If it is not available, the item still lands somewhere sensible, usually Other, and you can move it once.

03

The list matches the store.

Aisles are the sections of that store: Produce, then Bakery, then Dairy, in the order you actually walk. Empty aisles stay hidden, so the list is only the sections that have something on them.

Start a second grocery list and drag the aisles into that store’s order. The first list does not change.

Scan what is in your hand.

Point the camera at a barcode. If you have linked that code before, on any list, the item goes on with the name you gave it. A new code is looked up, and you confirm the name and the aisle before it is added.

05

Cross it off. It remembers.

Tap to cross an item off. Shake the phone to undo the last one. Things you crossed off in the last two weeks stay easy to put back.

Buy the same thing on a rhythm and ListFox will suggest it when you are due again. The suggestion sits in its own section. It is never added until you say so. You can snooze it, or tell ListFox to stop suggesting it.

Hand the list to someone else.

Share a list through iCloud. The other person adds items and crosses them off, and both phones show the same list. ListFox can notify you when they do, on this phone, and you can mute a list if you would rather not hear about it.

Sharing is part of ListFox Premium. The list itself stays in your iCloud. There is no ListFox account and no ListFox server holding it.

More than the grocery store

A list for the place you are going.

Each list starts from a template: grocery, a hardware store, a pharmacy, clothing, school supplies, a packing list, or a plain to-do. Twenty-one of them, with the sections that place actually has.

  • Grocery
  • Hardware
  • Pharmacy
  • Clothing & Shoes
  • Office & School
  • Baby
  • Pet Supplies
  • Garden
  • Packing
  • To-Do

A class list does not need aisles. Those lists use the to-do template, and order does not matter. Save a store on a list and ListFox can notify you when you arrive.

Features

What you actually use in the aisle.

  • Aisles, not a dump of names

Items are grouped into the section of the store where you pick them up. Move one and ListFox remembers that choice for next time.

  • Barcodes

Scan to add. A code you have named before is added immediately. A new one asks you to confirm the name and the aisle.

  • Due again

After you have bought something a few times, ListFox notices the rhythm and suggests it. You add it. It does not add itself.

  • A list with two people

Share through iCloud. Adds and cross-offs show up on both phones, with a notification you can mute per list.

  • Siri

Add items by voice. “Add apples to my HEB list in ListFox.” Shortcuts can do the same.

  • When you get to the store

Save the store on a list. ListFox can notify you when you are nearby, so the list is the one you open in the parking lot.

Private by default

Your lists live in your iCloud.

There is no ListFox account. Lists, items, and the history of what you bought stay in your iCloud, and with the people you share a list with. ListFox does not run a server that stores them.

Looking up a barcode sends that code to Open Food Facts so ListFox can suggest a name. The camera is only used to read the code. Apple Intelligence, when it helps pick an aisle, runs on the iPhone.

Questions

Good to know.

Do I need an account?

No ListFox account. The app uses the Apple ID already on the iPhone. Lists sync through iCloud. Purchases go through the App Store.

Where do my lists go?

Into your iCloud. People you share a list with see that list through iCloud too. ListFox does not have a server that stores your lists. The privacy policy covers the barcode lookup and location.

What does the free version include?

One list, with every feature on that list: aisle sorting, barcode scanning, suggestions, and Siri. You can look at your other lists, but not edit them, and you cannot share or accept a shared list until you have Premium.

Is it only for groceries?

No. Grocery is one template. There are templates for a hardware store, a pharmacy, clothing, school supplies, a packing list, and a plain to-do, among others. A to-do list is not sorted into aisles.

Will it add things I did not ask for?

No. Suggestions show up in their own section when you are due to buy something again. You add them. Snooze, “not now,” and “stop suggesting” are there when it is wrong.

Which phones?

iPhone, on iOS 18 or later. There is no iPad or Mac app. Apple Intelligence aisle suggestions need a phone that supports Apple Intelligence, on iOS 26, with it turned on. Without that, aisle sorting still works.

Can I download it yet?

Not yet. ListFox is coming to the App Store.

The list, already in aisle order.
